Solmove at Grand Designs Live Birmingham 2026

Solmove took part in Grand Designs Live at the NEC Birmingham from 2–4 October 2026, bringing together our solar, battery storage and property digital surveying offers.

Behind the scenes

Our exhibition setup included solar panels mounted on a timber structure, showing how renewable energy equipment can form part of a building’s design.

Solar and battery package — £7,995

Our Grand Designs Live solar package combines 10 Eurener solar panels, totalling 5.15 kWp, with a 16.1 kWh Fogstar battery and a 6 kW LuxPower inverter.

The package includes:

• An onsite survey and system commissioning.

• Scaffold to one roof.

• Bird mesh.

• A 10-year workmanship warranty policy.

• The MCS and G99 DNO application process.

The advertised show price is £7,995, compared with the normal price of £10,995, for orders placed before 14 October 2026. An EV charger is also advertised as an optional addition for £995.

Fogstar battery packages — from £3,995

Our battery packages let you store electricity for use when your home needs it.

Choose from:

• 16.1 kWh — £3,995: one 16.1 kWh Fogstar battery with a 6 kW inverter.

• 32.2 kWh — £5,995: two 16.1 kWh Fogstar batteries with a 6 kW inverter.

Both are advertised as fully installed packages. We’ll assess your property and energy use to help you decide which capacity is suitable.

Our £249 Show Pilot Survey provides a digital survey and review of your property, covering:

• Energy and EPC.

• Property condition.

• Contents and insurance inventory.

• Digital measurements, photography and development information.
